Commemorative Presentaion held for Jamie Walker's Family

A Commemorative Presentation was held for the Waker family on Novmeber 3, 2005 at the Waynesboro Fire Dept. Representative Sherra Hillman Lane read the House Resolution and presented it to the Walker family. Chief Jerry Mosley presented the Walker family with a plaque from Washington, D.C. Hall of Fame and with Cpl. Jamie Walker's Service Weapon and Badge.
Letters from agencies throughout the United States offering condolences to the Waynesboro Police Dept. and the Walker family was given to the Walker family. Jimmy Bunch with the Waynesboro F.O.P. lodge spoke about the duties of a law enforcement officer, the honor of serving as a law enforcement officer, and presented the police code of ethics to the people present at the commemorative service.
Many attended this commemorative presentation in honor of Cpl. Jamie Walker. Those in attendance was the Waynesboro Police Dept, Wayne County Sheriff's Dept., Wayne General Ambulance Service, Waynesboro Fire Dept., Rep. Sherra Hillman Lane, Jerry Martin from Gene Taylor's office, Mayor Joe Taylor and Board of Aldermen, family and friends. Kirk Royals with the MS State F.O.P. lodge prayed the benediction.
