Armed Robbery at Super 10

According to Chief Bunch, on 8-14-09 Central Dispatch notified Investigator Waites of an armed robbery at Super 10.
Inv. Waites arrived at Super 10 and spoke with the clerk and the assistant manager. The clerk stated that a very light skin black male entered the store wearing black pants, black shirt, black sunglasses and a ball cap. The clerk stated that the black male approached the checkout counter with a piece of candy. The black male laid the candy on the counter along with a dollar bill. The clerk then stated that when she opened the register to make change the black male pulled a small black handgun, pointed the gun at her and grabbed money from the register and ran out of the store. The clerk stated that the male ran down the side walk towards Pizza Inn. After inventory of the cash register, it was determined that the suspect took $493.00 in cash. After further investigation of the case, the suspect was later captured and taken to the Wayne County Adult Detention Center and charged.
