Disturbance On Taylor Ave. results in Agrravated Assualt

According to Chief Bunch, on February 22, 2010, Qwan Octavius Nelson was arrested by the Waynesboro Police Department for aggravated assault and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
On February 21, 2010, the Waynesboro Police department received a disturbance call on Taylor Avenue. Officer S. Chambers, C. Millican and V. Sumrall responded to the call. Officers learned that one person, identified as Eugene"Pinky" Parker Jr. had been shot and transported to Wayne General Hospital by pov. Investigator Wesley Waites, Asst. Chief Todd McCaskey and Lt. Chris Harris were called to the scene for investigation. Investigation revealed that Nelson fled the scene prior to the officer's arrival. On February 22, 2010 agents with the SMNTF took Nelson into custody at a residence on Horseshoe Loop Road in Wayne County. During the arrest one handgun was which believed to have been used in the shooting was recovered on Nelson.
