WPD Investigates Robbery at 1350 Azalea Drive

According to Chief Leonard Frost, on May 17, 2007, officers were dispatched to
1350 on a simple robbery call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with victim, Vera Long, which stated that she was in the paint department when two unidentified black males came into the area. Long stated that one black male distracted her husband while the other black male snatched her purse out of her hand. Long stated that the two black suspects then fled on foot towards the jewelry counter where the purse was found later. Long stated that her wallet which contained her identification and other items was missing.
