WPD Investigates Grand Larceny on Turner Street

According to Chief Leonard Frost, on May 21, 2007, officers were dispatched to
Chickasawhay Apartments on a grand larceny call. Upon arrival, officers spoke with David Ellis which stated that he had given Patrick Payton a ride from the curb store to the apartments. Ellis stated that when he was ready to leave, his truck was missing. Ellis’ cousin stated that he saw Patrick Payton driving around town in the stolen vehicle. Patrick Payton is wanted for grand larceny and felony shoplifting. Anyone that may have information related to this incident is asked to call the Waynesboro Police Department at 601-735-3192.
