WPD Investigates Grand Larceny at Waites Welding

According to Chief Leonard Frost, on June 21, 2007, Waites Welding
Service reported one black 1996 Ford F-250 Welding truck had been stolen from their business. Investigator Mark West began the search for the truck. Wayne County Sheriff’s Department assisted West in the location of the truck and recovered the truck on Pleasant Grove Chapparal Road. Without any of the tools in the vehicle, Investigator West then received information that the tools were sold to individuals on the Matherville Frost Bridge Road. Investigator West. Agent Brent Pursell and deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Department recovered all the items that were stolen and sold from the vehicle. On June 28, 2007, James Arthur Stewart was arrested and charged with Grand Larceny. Stewart is currently being held in the Wayne County Jail and the case will be presented to the Wayne County January 2008 Grand Jury.
