Arrest Made In Bumpers Robbery Case

According to Chief Frost, on 11-01-2007 at approximately 22:14, a call came into central dispatch that a person was almost robbed at Bumpers.
Officers L.Barnett and C. Powe were the first on the scene. Barnett spoke with three subjects. Officer Powe along with Officer C. Harris and Investigator M.West searched the local area but no one was found. Upon further investigation, the Waynesboro Police Department charged Sandy Powe IV with attempted armed robbery. Bond was set at 75,000 and Powe was bound over to the action of the Wayne CountyGrand Jury in Jan. 2008.
